Miracle in the Life of Bro. Roden Roy

IMG_0463

Sister Tacing Roy testifying in the pulpit during Friday overnight worship service, April 2013 at the Amoranto Stadium.

Sis. Tacing Roy, who is fondly called by those who are close to her “Nanay Tacing” (Mommy Tacing), is the beloved mother of Bro. Roden Roy. She had seen the great healing miracle of the Lord in her life when, dying and her funeral all prepared because of an illness in her inner ear that specialists couldn’t cure, she was raised up by the Lord Jesus Christ when she was brought to the worship service of JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY. She had no hope then being tortured by the pain and discomfort her disease brought. The doctors here and in Canada (when she travelled there with her husband seeking healing) had given up on her. Her inner ear was rotting and she was also a victim of witchcraft which made her days and nights pure torment.

But she was miraculously healed by the Lord and freed from the evil works of witchcraft. She gained a kind of faith so strong that nothing and no one could deter her no matter the circumstance.

That’s what happened in late 90s when her beloved son Roden’s appendix ruptured. The doctor was shocked by her decision to bring home her very sick son and just pray for his miraculous healing at home. Bro. Roden needed an emergency surgery to close up his ruptured appendix but his mother chose to fully trust in God’s miracle – without surgery. And so, at home, Nanay Tacing prayed agonizingly and fasted for the healing of her son. Bro. Roden miraculously recovered and was well for a year.

But in 1997, a year after his appendix was ruptured, his stomach bulged until it looked like he was 8 months pregnant. This time, he was brought to the hospital to be checked. He was immediately brought to the OR for an emergency surgery to which Nanay Tacing was then powerless to stop. The doctors said it might take 3 hours. But 3 hours turned to 5 and 5 turned to 7. Nanay Tacing resisted the urge to worry and lose faith. She was on her knees begging for God to let her son live all the time he was in the operating room.

The procedure ended at 2:30 in the morning. The doctors though very tired were so thrilled to talk about the miracle they just witnessed. They said that it was just not possible that a person would live after an untreated ruptured appendix. They were so shocked to see Bro. Roden’s condition: a big clump of rotten flesh, puss, and blood had infected his stomach and intestines. They needed to bring out his intestines and clean them that’s why it took them 7 hours!

They considered it a great miracle that a person lived in that state for a year calling Bro. Roden a miracle boy. Doctors from other hospitals came to St. Luke’s Medical Center to interview him and have their pictures taken with him. They said it was the first time in all of  the medical history of the country for such a thing to happen! Nanay Tacing proudly confessed her miracle-working God and they praised Him for what He’s done.

Their bills ballooned to around P200,000 but Nanay Tacing prayed and begged God to help them since they didn’t have that amount of money. No, not even near it. In the end, they only paid over a thousand pesos. Another miracle.

And through all this, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ was exalted and glorified.

But the doctors warned Bro. Roden that it was possible that his intestines will clump up again in the future, but Nanay Tacing trusted in God that that won’t happen. But in mid-April 2013, Bro. Roden’s stomach swelled again and he was brought to the same hospital. He was treated and the miracle was, while he recuperated from this second surgery, he met the families of two patients: one was a stage 4 leukaemia, a mother; the other one was stage 4 breast cancer.

After Friday overnight worship service, Nanay Tacing went straight to the hospital and found Bro. Roden her son waiting up for her. He told her about the two desperate patients that he had talked to. Without any hesitation and though Nanay Tacing was very sleepy from the all-night service, she rushed to the rooms of the patients accompanied by her son. There, she shared the Gospel and her testimonies. She made them receive the Lord Jesus Christ and prayed over them and assured them that they could receive God’s miraculous healing, too, when they surrender their lives to Him. The families promised to attend JMCIM worship service once they are out of the hospital.

So, that was what the divine purpose of the presence of Nanay Tacing and her beloved son Roden in St. Luke’s Medical Center this second time. And when it was time to pay their bills which reached P80,000, Nanay Tacing prayed again. She only had P1000 in her wallet. And the Lord performed a miracle on her behalf once again. The hospital, St. Luke’s Medical Center, was forced to bill them for only P1000.

Hallelujah! To God be all the glory!

Healing from Cervical Cancer: The Testimony of Sis. Victoria dela Cruz

Sis. Victoria dela Cruz testifying in the pulpit; Friday overnight worship service, March 2013 at Amoranto Stadium.

Sis. Victoria dela Cruz testifying in the pulpit; Friday overnight worship service, March 2013 at Amoranto Stadium.

In 1997, Sis. Victoria started to feel pain in her lower belly. This continued for days until she told her grown children about it. They brought her to a hospital to be diagnosed. It was found out that she had the onset of a cervical cancer. But after more thorough diagnoses in two other hospitals, doctors found out that she had stage 2B cervical cancer and that surgery could no longer help. They said that 60% of her body had been affected by the cancer cells. They referred her to St. Luke’s Medical Center to undergo linear accelerator (radiation treatment).

After a series of these treatments, Sis. Victoria began to weaken. She begged her children to stop the treatment. She believed she wasn’t getting well. Her children discussed with their mother’s doctors and complained why their mother wasn’t getting well despite the treatments. The doctors explained that the treatments will not cure her but will only try to destroy the cancer cells in that specific region and prevent them from spreading.

The treatments did not help Sis. Victoria. Soon she was very weak and was bleeding incessantly. She stayed mostly in bed. Even sitting up had become difficult.

Her children wanted her to be treated further in the hospital but she rejected it. So, they went to different quack doctors and faith healers. They went to St. Therese in Tagaytay where it was rumoured that the sick receive healing there. They got “holy water” from these so-called holy places and immersed their rosaries in the water before they prayed the rosary. But none of these helped Sis. Victoria. If anything, she became worse.

But the workings of the true living God are unique and marvellous. He will do everything in His majestic power so that those He had chosen from the foundation of the world would come to know His great mercy.

One day in the office of one of Sis. Victoria’s children, there was a special occasion. She got to talking to one of the catering staff. As Divine Providence would have it, her mother’s illness was discussed and it turned out that this person from the catering service was a born-again Christian and served the Lord in JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY. She told her about the many testimonies of God’s miraculous healings she had heard in Church, and invited her and her sick mother to attend the worship service and receive the Lord Jesus Christ.

Sis. Victoria’s daughter was so excited to tell her about this. There was hope! She urged her mother to come with her to the worship service so she could receive divine healing. But her mother didn’t want to go. She wanted to cling to the old church she grew up in.

Sis. Victoria’s daughter went ahead and attended the worship service. There, she poured out all her grief. She cried out to God. She wanted her mother to live and she knew only God, the true God, can help her now. The following worship service, she implored her mother again to go with her. This time, her mother was powerless to resist her (and she wondered why she was so yielding to her daughter’s urgings). The Lord had begun His mighty work on her.

Sis. Victoria and her children attended the worship service of JMCIM at Cuneta Astrodome. While the choir was singing, one of her children noticed something happening to her mother that her mother wasn’t even aware of. So, she told her mother to sit up (for she was lying down, feeling weak due to her constant bleeding). She assisted her to sit up. While the choir and the whole congregation sang and worshiped, Sis. Victoria was sitting upright and didn’t feel any weariness. She and her children marvelled at this.

She received the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Before the baptism in water, she was doubtful. She didn’t want to go into the water thinking that she might stain the water due to her profuse bleeding. She told the sisters who were assisting her about this. But she was told she need not worry about that.

When Sis. Victoria came out of the water, she felt her bleeding stop. Indeed, her bleeding stopped from that moment on. And she received complete healing. That was sixteen years ago and her cancer never came back. Together with her family, she continues to serve the Lord faithfully to this day.

Hallelujah! To God be the glory!

Healed of Heart Disease: The Testimony of Bro. Rufo Zulueta

Bro. Rufo Zulueta testifying in the pulpit, February 10, 2013, Amoranto Stadium, Quezon City, Phils.

Bro. Rufo Zulueta testifying in the pulpit, February 10, 2013, Amoranto Stadium, Quezon City, Phils.

In 1993, Bro. Rufo suddenly collapsed and was rushed to the hospital He just had a heart attack. Later in the hospital when he regained consciousness, he was too weak and his breathing was difficult. He was given oxygen to aid his breathing and lots of medicines to help him, but days passed but his condition did not improve. He decided to just go home and rest.

At home, he could hardly walk. His breathing remained to be “inch by inch” as he describes it. When he tried to walk just a few feet, he would stop to catch his breath. He could no longer work. He continued to take his many medicines but every time he took them, he would feel worse. Weeks passed and he and his wife decided to see another specialist. After test results came out, it was found out that he didn’t only have heart disease, he now also had developed pneumonia. (He also began to suffer from chronic back pains, insomnia, and nervousness). His doctor referred him to the Philippine Heart Center. But Bro. Rufo refused to be brought to the Philippine Heart Center. He knew that he needed surgery and they didn’t have the money for it.

At home, he also began to give up the medicines which made him feel worse and weaker. Feeling hopeless, he fell to his knees and prayed and begged God to help him. After his prayer, he thought he heard a voice telling him to open the TV, and so he did. It opened to the TV program of JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY. He sat and concentrated to watch and listen to the testimonies of God’s miraculous healings. He was amazed. When the Beloved Asst. Pastor Lina C. Almeda stood to praise and worship God prior to her Bible Study, Bro. Rufo was in awe to behold the holiness displayed and exuded by her. All the time that he was watching, his tears were falling freely. He was so blessed watching the program that he instantly felt better and was filled with hope.

Bro. Rufo took note of the address of the venue of the Church’s regular worship services, and came Wednesday, he was so excited to go to the worship service. He was thankful that the venue was within their city (Marikina) and he didn’t have to travel far.

Though his breathing was labored and he needed to rest every after a few feet, he arrived in the worship service expectant. Though sick and weak, there was an extraordinary strength that was making him go on. He was the first one to reach the front during the altar call and the first one in the queue to receive water baptism in Jesus’ name. That night, Bro. Rufo received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and Healer.

Walking on his way home, his steps had a spring to them that he could’t explain. He felt like he was floating on air. He so marvelled at this feeling that he had to look back to see if he left any footprints! He knew in himself that he had been healed by the Lord Jesus Christ!

After a few months and Bro. Rufo was sure that he was completely healed, he went back to the hospital for another round of tests. As he had expected, all his tests came out clear. He went to see the doctor who had previously referred him to the Philippine Heart Center and testified before him, how he had obtained healing through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ without the help of surgery and medicines, and showed him his latest test results proving that he was completely healed. The doctor was dumbfounded and couldn’t find the right words to describe the miracle that happened to Bro. Rufo.

Bro. Rufo continues to enjoy the healing he had received from the Lord and remains to be fervent in serving Him with his family to this day.

Halleluiah! To God be all the glory!

Healed of Witchcraft: The Testimony of Sis. Maria Fe Lible

Sister Maria Fe Lible testifying in the pulpit during a Friday overnight worship service of JMCIM at Amoranto Stadium, Q. C.

Sis. Maria Fe had big dreams in life. Having had a hard life growing up, she dreamed of bettering her life by working abroad. She got a job in Bangkok, Thailand and she truly believed this was her ticket to a better, more prosperous life, a fulfilment of her dreams. But after a year of working there, she got into a strife with her boss driving her suddenly out-of-job, no money, and out in the streets of Bangkok.

She didn’t want to go back home to the Philippines for that would mean an end to her dreams. And even if she wanted to, she didn’t have money to buy a plane ticket. So, she wandered in a foreign land, hoping she would find work. She slept in bus terminals and other public places where she could be safe.

When she could no longer endure her hard life there, she cried and prayed to God to help her. She got help and she was able to fly back home to the Philippines. But when she arrived home and just starting to recover from her horrendous experience in Thailand and nursing her shattered dreams, she developed a hard mass in her throat. This made her life miserable. It was hard for her to swallow and it brought her nasty headaches everyday. She went to different doctors, trying to find cure for her disease, but they all told her she needed a surgery to save her.

She also went to different “quack” doctors, and they had only one “diagnosis”: Sis. Maria Fe was a victim of witchcraft. They warned her never to undergo surgery for this wasn’t the remedy for witchcraft. They adamantly emphasized to her that surgery might cost her her life.

With an illness and dreams that would never be realized, Sis. Maria Fe felt like she would lose her mind. She cried out to God in anguish. By the wonderful workings of God, she met a sister from JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY who invited her to the worship service. Sis. Maria Fe willingly went with her. She wanted rest from all her suffering.

On the day she attended the worship service, she was suffering from an excruciating headache. But as soon as she received the Lord Jesus Christ and was baprized in water in His name, she was instantly relieved from her headache. She went home with the stirrings of new hope in her heart and soul. She felt happy for the first time in years.

But the cyst in her throat did not get healed at once. She was persecuted on all sides for not wanting to undergo surgery, until her fledgling faith succumbed to outside pressure. She underwent surgery to remove the cyst lodged in her throat.

After surgery, she lost her voice. She whispered hoarsely when she spoke. The doctor told her she might regain her voice in six months but that wasn’t a guarantee. She went home without a voice and to add to her misery, the cyst that was removed from her throat was multiplied. She developed more cysts, up to twenty in all. This made her desperate. It was true what the quack doctors told her: surgery wouldn’t solve her problem for her disease was a product of witchcraft.

She went back to the worship service of JMCIM and there she surrendered her life and let go of all her woes. She also sought to be prayed over and laid hands on by the beloved Hon. Pastor Wilde Almeda. After about a week, she regained her voice, and all her cysts in her neck disappeared one by one.

When Sis. Maria Fe testifies in the pulpit, one sees the marks and scars on her neck where the cysts had been. When she testifies, she shouts at the top of her voice, relishing the strength and healing the Lord has blessed her with.

Sis. Maria Fe continues to serve the Lord fervently to this day.

Halleluiah! To God be the glory!

Double Miracle: The Testimony of Bro. Jao Apostol Part 1

Brother Jao Apostol testifying in the pulpit on a JMCIM Sunday service at Amoranto Stadium, Q.C.

One would listen to Bro. Jao Apostol’s testimony and one would marvel at the abundance of miracles in his life. I heard his testimony again last October 7 when the Church gathered to worship and celebrate the 12th anniversary of the victorious Mindanao Peace Mission and I knew I had to write it.

Bro. Jao grew up in the Visayas where he was a sacristan (altar boy) in one of the big Catholic churches there. Though he worked in church every Sunday, this didn’t shape or train him into a godly person, but rather the exact opposite. He grew up learning all kinds of vices until the time came that he was accused in a double murder. Bro. Jao was so afraid he fled to Manila.

In Manila, he allied with other ruffians and got involved in transport robberies, hold-up robberies, drug pushing, and other crimes. He would loiter in Luneta Park together with his friends waiting for someone to victimize. In one of these instances, since the crusades of the JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY were often held at the Quirino Grandstand in those days, a brother in Christ approached him and shared with him the Gospel. According to Bro. Jao’s testimony, this brother shared his testimony, how he was changed by the Lord and delivered him from all his vices and addictions, as tears streamed down his face. Bro. Jao’s hard heart was pried open and he went with the brother who invited him.

Bro. Jao received the Lord Jesus Christ, was baptized in water in His name, and began to serve Him faithfully. He was completely changed by God. He started to work decently. He became a pedicab driver along Agham Road in Quezon City. But the police apparently didn’t know that Bro. Jao was a changed man. He had been closely monitored by them and one day, he and one of his companions were picked up by the police and brought to a deserted place somewhere in Fairview. When they had walked a far distance from the road, being obliterated by tall talahib grass, they were told to get down on their knees. They were to be annihilated.

The two men aimed at Bro. Jao’s companion and without much fuss, they shot him in the head and he was killed instantly. While this was happening, Bro. Jao abandoned himself to the mercy of God. He had prayed silently and when it was his turn, the guns of the two men didn’t fire. They did it again and again to no avail. Suddenly, they were gripped with so much terror that they fled, running in great fear. And thus, Bro. Jao was delivered from their hands.

Another one of his testimonies was about the healing of his child. His child got sick of pneumonia. It became so serious that he brought him to the hospital, to East Avenue Medical Center, upon the urging of his unsaved loved ones. But while his child was in the hospital, Bro. Jao needed to attend Friday overnight worship service. After the service, he went back to the hospital. He was met by his sister-in-law who was so fraught, accusing him of leaving his dying child.

Then the doctors also approached him, informing him that his child had been dead for 10 hours. But Bro. Jao told them his child was only asleep and he would be raised up by the Lord Jesus. He ran to his child, prayed agonizingly, then laid his hand on him and cast out the demon of death. His child breathed and came to life again, and recovered from his illness.

These are just two of Bro. Jao’s amazing testimonies. I hope to be able to write more of them in the coming days.

Halleluaih! To God be all the glory!

Touched His Garment: The Testimony of Sis. Rose Batoon

Sister Rose Batoon has been working as a domestic helper abroad for years. In 2008 after a short vacation, she returned to work in Kuwait. But as early as February, she was afflicted with incessant bleeding. She tried to keep this from her employers and went on with her work. But her bleeding continued and she was becoming weak, so she requested her employer to bring her to the doctor. The doctor told her it was probably menopause since she was at that age.

In November of the same year, as her bleeding continued on and off for days on end, Sis. Rose was invited by her employer’s mother to cook for a special occasion. She was brought to their farm. But it was very cold that day and her bleeding intensified. Her employer noticed her weakness and asked if she was alright. Sis. Rose answered that she could still carry on with the work. But at the end of the day, her employers brought her to the doctor. She was worried with Sis. Rose’s condition.

Sis. Rose underwent ultrasound and it was found out that she had a cyst growing in her right ovary. Fear enveloped her as she thought of surgery. Her employers decided to have her cyst removed via surgery, but Sis. Rose refused, asking who would take care of her. Her female employer volunteered to take care of her after surgery, saying she would take a 2-week leave from work. But Sis. Rose insisted that she didn’t want to undergo surgery.

She continued to pray and trust in the Lord. After the first check-up as her bleeding continued, she was again brought to the doctor. But this time, the doctor said that she needed not undergo d and c because her bleeding wasn’t that strong at that time. Sis. Rose was so thankful.

During her employer’s trip to Egypt where she accompanied her, she continued to bleed everyday but the Lord strengthened her.

At last, her contract was finally finished. She came home to the Philippines and attended worship service in Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry as she used to. Then she sought to be prayed over and laid hands on by the beloved Hon. Pastor Wilde E. Almeda. After the laying on of hands on her, Sis. Rose felt relief. She felt inside her that she had been healed.

A few days after this, Sis. Rose had a discharge. She believed that the Lord Jesus had finally removed all that was causing her bleeding. And indeed, her bleeding stopped permanently. After about 2 months, she went to the doctor to be examined. Ultrasound results showed that her cyst was shriveling up and the doctor said she had nothing to worry for this would ultimately dry up.

It’s been years since Sis. Rose had received complete healing from the Lord and she continues to work abroad to this day.

Halleluiah! To God be the glory!

A Second Chance: The Testimony of Bro. Adrian Sarmiento

Bro. Adrian Sarmiento testifying in the pulpit at Amoranto Stadium (April 2012)

Bro. Adrian was born into a family of born-again Christians serving the Lord in Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry. As a child, he sang in the Children’s Choir, and later on, in the Jesus’ Finest Generation Choir, until he became an instrumentalist in San Carlos, Pangasinan Outreach. Then he got married and started a family of his own.

Life was hard for their young family, and the enemy took advantage of their circumstance. Bro. Adrian went looking for a job to support his family, but not one of those which he applied for hired him. Then someone offered him a job to play in a band in a bar and restaurant. The salary was really good and something that Bro. Adrian couldn’t resist. And because of their poverty, Bro. Adrian accepted the job to play in a band before people who are seeking worldly pleasure. He left his calling as an instrumentalist in church.

Bro. Adrian embraced his new job with a new zeal. He became a servant to the world. Everyday, he was happy and content with the money he was receiving – it was more than he had ever dreamed of. This went on for a time – until God’s chastisement came and fell hard upon him.

Bro. Adrian bought a motorcycle and he used it to travel to work. One day, he was on his way to work. A dog crossed the street and Bro. Adrian avoided him by pressing on the brakes but because of this, he and his motorcycle was flung into the air. But his memory of the accident ended there. He didn’t have any memory of how he landed (although he mentioned that he was thankful to God he was not run over by tricycles which ply the street) and how he reached the Pastoral House of San Carlos Outreach.

When he woke up in the Pastoral House, he was told that he arrived in his motorcycle, but he couldn’t remember any of it. He was immediately brought to the hospital. He was in great pain and he couldn’t move at all. CT scan results revealed he had a big blood clot in the head and surgery was necessary.

Bro. Adrian greatly repented and vowed that he would return to the Lord and serve Him faithfully. Then he saw, as it were, a light passing through his mind and heard a voice that told him to go to the Central Church in Amoranto to be prayed over and laid hands on by the beloved Hon. Pastor Wilde E. Almeda. He answered in his mind that it’s too far and he felt he couldn’t survive the journey. But he heard the voice again saying, “If you want to live, go to Amoranto.”

Bro. Adrian and his father traveled to Manila. He suffered a lot as he endured the excruciating pain the long journey brought. But when they arrived in Amoranto Stadium and he heard the whole congregation praising, the pain gradually eased and he felt relief. After the midweek service, he was carried to the beloved Hon. Pastor Wilde Almeda’s tent. When the beloved pastor prayed over him and laid his hand on him, Bro. Adrian saw a bright light and something very cold flowed down from the top of his head, and he felt all the pain leaving.

After this, upon the advice of his aunt, they went to Quirino Memorial Medical Center for another check-up. Upon seeing his CT scan results from Pangasinan, the doctor told him he needed to be operated immediately – a dangerous operation since it might damage a part of his brain. But they decided to have the surgery anyway.

When everything was prepared for the surgery, his father requested for another CT scan, believing that Bro. Adrian’s condition might have improved. The second CT scan showed favorable results prompting the doctor to pronounce that Bro. Adrian no longer needed surgery.

The doctors gave him at least 2 months to fully recover, but after just over 2 weeks, Bro. Adrian had testified in the pulpit completely recovered.

Healed of Cerebral Palsy, Etc.

Sister Delia Carencia testifying in the pulpit during JMCIM Sunday worship service at Amoranto Stadium, Quezon City, Phils. (March 2012)

When I heard the testimony of Sister Delia Carencia, I was sure I wanted to write about it. Once again in this blessed testimony, the Lord Jesus has proven that he is the greatest Physician.

When the eldest son of Sis. Delia was only three-days-old, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, his heart was too big for his age, one of the main veins of his heart was blocked, had abnormal heartbeat, asthma, post-polio of his whole left body, and scoliosis.

Sis. Delia brought her infant son to different specialists in the hospitals in Metro Manila hoping to find cure for her diseased baby. She also became zealous in visiting churches, walking from the entrance to the altar on bended knees. She went to places wherever she heard of someone or something that heals miraculously. But in the 17 years that they sought, hoped and waited for her son’s healing, they failed.

The head neurologist of the Pediatrics Department of the Philippine General Hospital told Sis. Delia that there was no hope for her son. Also the orthopedic doctor informed her that if the angulation of her son’s spine became 40, he will become a vegetable. At that time, it was already 32.

A major surgery on her son’s spine was proposed to straighten it. They were going to open up his back from nape to below the waist. But when Sis.Delia asked what were the chances of her son being able to walk again, the doctor replied that if the surgery was successful, he could walk again, but he could not give the assurance that the boy would be able to endure the pain during cold months. And if the surgery failed, he would not be able to walk again and would remain vegetable the rest of his life. The doctors also warned that if he skipped in taking his medicines, this would greatly endanger his life.

Because the medicines were very costly and Sis. Delia had three other younger kids, she tried to stop giving him his medicines but this made matters worse for he had to be brought to the hospital and had to stay there for many days.

Sis. Delia testified that for 17 years, there wasn’t a month that her son was not admitted in the hospital beside the weekly therapy at the Philippine General Hospital in Manila. It was a long commute since they lived in Olongapo City.

But when they were invited to the worship service of the JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY and he received the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized in water in His name, all his diseases were miraculously healed by the Lord! Ever since that day, he stopped taking his medicines and it has been ten years since he obtained God’s healing.

The curvature of his spine became normal, he regained normal strength and balance and now, he walks and runs and rides the bicycle! The excruciating pain in his back that he used to suffer was completely gone. Now, he plays the tambourine in the outreach of Olongapo City.

Sis. Delia Carencia's son also testifying in the pulpit.

Healed of Internal Bone Infection: Testimony of Bro. Bong Lorente

In March 1992, Bro. Bong Lorente figured in a bus accident while traveling in Surigao del Norte. The bus he was riding on fell off a deep ravine and seven passengers died on-the-spot. Bro. Bong miraculously survived this tragic accident.

It was eight years later that Bro. Bong began to notice pain in his right leg. The pain worsened as the days went by, but he dismissed it, thinking that it was just rheumatism 0r arthritis. But when Bro. Bong began to experience difficulty in walking, he went to see a doctor. The doctor referred him to a bone specialist, an orthopedic doctor, for the doctor thought that he had a serious bone problem.

Bro. Bong went to see the orthopedic doctor, and after bone X-rays, it was found out that there’s a mass of blood clot in Bro. Bong’s right leg bone. The doctor told him that he needed to undergo immediate surgery to save his right leg. His affected bone will be removed and replaced with stainless steel.

Around this time, Bro. Bong was already unable to walk and his right leg had become violet in color.

The doctor told him that if this wasn’t removed immediately, it will be very dangerous and can develop into a malignant cancer. Bro. Bong asked if he would be able to walk after the surgery, and to this, the doctor answered that he might be able to walk after four years. And when Bro. Bong asked how much the surgery would cost, the doctor advised him to prepare 1.2 million pesos. When Bro. Bong heard this, he felt the whole world came crashing down on him. There was no way in the world that he could be able to afford it.

He told the doctor that he couldn’t put up even a 10% of it – it just wasn’t possible. The doctor told him that the amount is nothing if it would save his life, to which he answered him with these words:

“With that huge amount of money, it seems that my life has amounted to nothing. It has no more value.” (He meant that since he couldn’t afford the expensive surgery, he’ll just wait for death to come).

He and his wife signed a waiver and left the hospital, for he had been confined for five days and his bills were piling up. In fact, they weren’t able to pay his bills and just signed a promissory note. An ambulance brought him home. He was that ill.

At home, Bro. Bong began to count the passing of days in utter hopelessness. But at dawn five days after he left the hospital, his beloved wife opened the TV and she saw the program of JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY. As she watched and listened to the amazing testimonies of God’s healing miracles, she felt the powerful presence of God.

She woke up Bro. Bong and invited him to watch, too. She told him that this just might be the one that could help him – miraculous healing by the Lord Jesus Christ through this ministry. But Bro. Bong was doubtful.

They continued to watch anyway and during the mass healing where the beloved Hon. Pastor Wilde E. Almeda prayed and cast out the demons of incurable diseases, Bro. Bong felt as if there was a big powerful hand that squeezed his whole body and he felt great relief. He looked at his right leg and noticed that the violet color was gone and the color had gone back to normal. He felt very light, no more pain, so he attempted to stand. He and his wife were both amazed, as he began to walk slowly from their bedroom to the kitchen and back again.

Bro. Bong couldn’t believe that he was miraculously healed! He thought it was like a dream! The next morning, Bro. Bong continued to recover well. He was walking normally without pain or difficulty. His uncle came to visit and he was amazed at the great thing that happened to him. His uncle also believed in his miraculous healing, so together, they went to the worship service of JMCIM.

It was Friday overnight worship service at Cuneta Astrodome when Bro. Bong first attended. As he found himself walking and going up and down the stairs in the venue, exactly one week after he was brought home from the hospital in an ambulance, he couldn’t help but cry in great joy and deep gratitude to the Lord Jesus Christ.

When Bro. Bong returned to the hospital to try to settle his bills by requesting for installment payment, he testified to the chief accountant who happened to be a nun, about his miraculous healing. The nun was so blessed by his testimony and expressed also her deep respect to the beloved Hon. Pastor Wilde E. Almeda after the victorious Talipao Peace Mission in 2003. She promptly marked Bro. Bong’s hospital bill as “cleared” without him paying a single cent.

This great miracle happened over ten years ago and Bro. Bong, together with his family, continues to serve the Lord faithfully to this day.

Bed-bound to Soul-winner

Sister Jocelyn Pena in her Adults Choir Sunday uniform at Amoranto Stadium, Nov. 2011.

Sister Jocelyn “Jo” Pena was in and out of the hospital because of bronchial asthma. Soon, this had affected her heart, too, suffering from chest pains and difficulty in breathing. Because of these diseases, she rarely went out of their house, and spent her days mostly in bed.

One time while in bed recovering from another bout of asthma attack, she was feeling so weak and despondent. She thought, “Is this the life of a sick person, suffering daily in bed, no hope of healing? Is this my portion of life, just miserable like this? Is there more to life than being bed-bound?”

But there were no answers to her desperate questions, until she had to be brought to the hospital again because she had difficulty breathing. Her three kids would be left alone to fend for themselves while her beloved husband would juggle between work and hospital visits.

One day, she and her beloved husband just arrived home from the hospital after several days of confinement, but on the same day, she had another attack and she was struggling to breathe. In panic, she instructed her beloved husband to get a taxi for they were going back to the hospital. Before going out to get a taxi, her beloved husband rushed upstairs to get her bags.

While alone upstairs, great desperation drove him to the floor, and with his knees bent in total surrender, he prayed with all his being, tears pouring down his face. He cried out for help like he never prayed before. Then he heard a whisper, “Open the TV.” Without thinking or asking what it was, he opened the TV and the program of JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY came to view. He listened for a while and he felt hope bathed his whole being. He thought that this could help them, that this could be the answer to his prayer.

He hasted downstairs and called Sis. Jo to come check out a Christian program on TV. The two of them watched the whole program and Sis. Jo joined in the mass healing. Instantly, she felt great relief. Instead of going back to the hospital, they attended the worship service of JMCIM, received the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and were baptized in water in His name.

When they got home that night, Sis. Jo threw all her medicines and began to live by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and trust Him completely. It didn’t take long and Sis. Jo received her complete healing and recovered her health and strength. Because of this, she surrendered her life fully to the Lord. Since the time that they were saved in 1997 up to the present, Sis. Jo visits hospital wards weekly and shares her testimony of healing and the Gospel of salvation to the patients and their families.

She is continually blessed to witness many healing miracles in the hospital wards and homes that she visits after they have received the Gospel of salvation and been prayed for, and she has brought many souls to the feet of Jesus, and continues to do so.
