Son Healed of Heart Disease: The Testimony of Sis. Judith Biraya

In 1994, when Sis. Judith’s beloved son was only 1 1/2 years old, he was diagnosed with a heart disease where his heart was becoming enlarged. Just the slightest stimulus, like crying, would trigger seizures where his body convulsed and shrunk helplessly. This would happen three or more times everyday and even if there was no provocation, the seizures would come. It broke Sis. Judith’s heart to see her little son suffer so much. Her son needed immediate surgery and medications but they did not have money for such medical expenses.

Around this time, her in-laws were already serving the Lord Jesus Christ in JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY. For quite some time, her beloved mother-in-law had been testifying to her and to her husband, sharing the gospel of salvation and inviting them to come to church with her and receive the Lord Jesus Christ, but they both had not obeyed the repeated invitations.

Before her beloved mother-in-law received the Lord Jesus Christ, she was very sick of diabetes. Her legs had already developed gangrene, But she came to JMCIM, received the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized in water in His name. She was instantly healed of her diabetes! But in spite of this miracle, Sis. Judith’s and her beloved husband’s hearts remained hard.

But when her son suffered from heart disease, she decided to give her life to the Lord Jesus Christ. She attended Friday overnight worship service for the very first time. She prayed agonizingly for God to prolong her son’s life. In her desperation, she challenged the Lord that if He’s the true miracle-working God in JMCIM according to the living testimonies she had heard, He would heal her son.

The following morning when she went home, her son was provoked by his sister by not giving him food and he cried and cried, but the seizures never came. Sis. Judith’s son was instantly healed! From that moment on, he never had a single attack. He was healed completely through the first prayers and fasting of our dearly beloved Hon. Pastor Wilde Almeda! Hallelujah!

Just a month after her son was healed of his heart disease, he acquired German measles (rubella). He was feverish for a week and wouldn’t eat or feed on milk. He couldn’t open his eyes. Sis. Judith and her beloved husband offered prayer and fasting and trusted that the Lord Jesus would heal her son once again. After a week, her son was completely healed without any medications. Praise the Lord!

Now, her son is already 27 years old, in perfect health, and has a family of his own.

Sis. Judith was also a victim of the faulty Super Kalan by Shellane (a small stove that operates with a gas tank). It was new but when she turned it on to use it for the first time, the fire flared up high so suddenly, burning her face and arms in an instant. The , Super Kalan is known to explode, so Sis. Judith prayed that God would not allow it to happen and thankfully, it didn’t. She was brought to the hospital for she sustained second and third degree burns on her face and arms. The doctor said that the burns would heal within months and they would form keloids. But Sis. Judith prayed agonizingly and trusted that God would heal her completely from her burns and they would not form keloids. By God’s amazing miracle, her burns were healed after just a week and there were no keloids at all. Her face and arms are smooth and free of any scars.

“Be Thou Clean!”: The Amazing Testimony of Bro. Rey Avila

Bro. Rey Avila testifying in the pulpit at JMCIM – Main.

When you hear Bro. Rey Avila testify about the harrowing trial that he and his siblings had to endure for so many years, you can’t help but be deeply moved. His voice cracks as he relates what they had to go through, until tears silently fall down his cheeks, accompanying the painful memories as he recalls each one for the praise and glory of God.

Bro. Rey Avila, together with his three siblings, had a severe skin disease from birth. Growing up in a poor family in the province of Bicol, they resorted to different quack (witch) doctors to find cure for their worsening skin disease that covered their whole bodies.

They were told that they were cursed and the witch that did this evil is dead, leaving the statement: “It’s the children who will suffer the sins of their parents.”

The diseased children also tried herbal remedies to no avail. They weren’t getting better no matter how religiously they followed the “albularyos” (herbalists) instructions and “cures” in their province.

Their parents transferred them to the province of Cavite. By this time, they were teenagers and their skin disease was getting worse. The house they lived in Cavite had no electricity. In the morning, they would see their clothes soaked in blood from the open wounds all over their bodies. Blood oozed from these wounds that blanketed every part of their skin. Their sleeves that clung on their thin arms were soaked in blood.

Eventually, GMA 7, a prominent TV station, came to know of their plight and helped them. Their story was aired in Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko. Bro. Rey and one of his brothers were brought to St. Luke’s Medical Center and there, they were examined by one of the country’s top dermatologists. They underwent numerous laboratory tests and biopsies.

They were also shown in Brigada Siete. The show also helped them and had them examined in different hospitals in the country, such as Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center and RITM (Research Institute for Tropical Medicine).

Samples of skin, blood, nail, and hair were taken from them in RITM. These samples were sent abroad for thorough analysis. After one year, the results finally came in. All four siblings were called to RITM. They had very high expectations, believing that the medical specialists  had finally found a cure for their disease.

The results showed that they all came out positive in the disease called “epidermolysis hellosa”, a kind of disease that had no cure and will carry it until their old age. This news hit them so badly. They were now without hope.

Many dermatologists and the media were present when the name of their disease was announced. They were informed that they would suffer the disease their whole lives.

At this point, they lost all hope in God.

Throughout the many years that they had carried and suffered the abhorrent disease, they had prayed assiduously. Twenty-four long years of sickness and suffering with agonizing prayers, and now, what? The bitterness that gripped Bro. Rey and his siblings choked what little hope remained in them.

Ever since they were little, they had been mocked and trodden down. They rarely went out of the house. Now that they were grown-ups, it was no different. They lost all courage and hope and just stayed inside the house, feeling miserable and depressed.

Bro. Rey lost his faith in God. In his despair, he became angry at God.

Their life was all sickness, suffering, and depression they wanted to die!

GMA 7 contacted them again for follow-up check up but they didn’t respond anymore.

Their disease worsened, all four of them, no one was spared. The whole house stank of the issues that oozed from their numerous wounds, blood and puss and perspiration mingling together for they couldn’t take a bath. Bathing was a torture because of the open wounds, blisters, and new ruptures all over their bodies that they gave up bathing altogether.

They slept most of the time because their bodies hurt and they were becoming weak. Their father became angry at them and despised them, telling them that they had become useless and invalids.

Because of the hurtful words of their father that cut deep as much as the disease that ravaged his body, Bro. Rey fled their home. He reached Sta. Rosa in the province of Laguna. He slept in sidewalks, basketball courts, the cemetery. Someone saw him and brought him to the barangay hall rescue team which in turn turned him over to DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) Bahay Kalinga.

But even Bahay Kalinga couldn’t fold Bro. Rey into its embrace, fearing that he might infect the other children housed there. The barangay hall representative had to bring him back with him and put him in a newly-built toilet. So he was there until an employee saw him and took his pictures which she posted on Facebook.

A brother from JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY saw the post  and immediately messaged him and invited him to attend the 8th anniversary of JMCIM-Sta. Rosa Outreach. He accepted the invitation and on May 6 (year to be confirmed), he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized in His name.

He thought that being immersed in the tub of water would hurt him as he had lesions all over his body, but he was wrong. That same night, he slept soundly. Hallelujah!

In the morning, his clothes were soaked again because the blisters had all erupted. But within a few days, his wounds began to dry up and in just a few months, Bro. Rey received complete healing from the Lord Jesus Christ through the faithful and unceasing prayers of our dearly Beloved Hon. Pastor Wilde Almeda.

Nowadays, Bro. Rey’s skin is clean with just some scars remaining, a testimony of God’s healing power, unequalled love and mercy, and faithfulness. Hallelujah!

Bro. Rey now, working as a security guard.

Now, he testifies with tears, that God is not deaf nor blind to our deepest needs. He now works as a security guard and uses his salary to attend crusades in different outreaches.

From Muslim to Christian: The Miracles in the Life of Bro. Rene Pedregoza

Bro. Rene was a Muslim. He grew up with his grandfather who was a sultan and his mother who was a teacher in Arabic. His parents separated when he was young, because his father refused to convert to Islam. In 1995, he worked for Christian fishpond owners as messenger to all the commanders of the rebellious groups in Mindanao. His task was to bring the collections from the fishpond operations. It was during this time that he acquired malaria.

Bro. Rene Pedregoza

His uncle and other relatives who were Muslims were into witchcraft and they could also cure diseases caused by witchcraft using traditional medicine. All kinds of plants and fish that are used for burning were applied to him to cure his malaria, but these all failed.

His Christian wife asked permission to bring him to the doctor. But the doctor couldn’t offer any help. He doubted if Bro. Rene could survive the disease. Bro. Rene and his wife returned home without hope of healing. He began to lose appetite to eat. For 3 months, he couldn’t eat well. He stripped off his clothes in public without him being aware of what he was doing.

One day, his beloved mother was watching a Christian TV program which compelled her to say to him, “Son, your grandfather is an imam. He sits as judge to the whole Muslim community. One of your uncles is a sultan who cries morning, noon, and evening Allahu Akbar! But I want you to watch this so you will know what it teaches.”

At that time, Bro. Rene had not expected healing to come for he had been asking himself in desperation, “Is there a God who loves mankind?” But he heard the beloved pastor, Evangelist Wilde Almeda say, “Whatever is your situation right now, whether you’re a Christian or a Muslim, only believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the God who will heal you!” Bro. Rene hobbled towards the TV to touch the screen and cried out, “Dearest Lord! I wish that my uncles had told me there is a God who loves all people! But at this moment, I am believing that there is only one God in the whole earth! If you are the God of the Muslims and Christians, heal me, please!”

For 3 months, Bro. Rene had not been able to stand. But at that moment, he felt something very cold enter the top of his head and bathe his whole being and he was able to stand strong on his own two feet! He cried out, “There is a God who loves all people!” He received complete healing from his malaria.

Bro. Rene searched for Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry in Zamboanga but with a mixture of fear because Muslims are not supposed to believe in the name of Jesus. He found the outreach and he was baptized in water in Jesus’ name. For fear of their Muslim community, his wife ran away to Manila. Before long, Bro. Rene followed her for fear that his relatives would kill him for converting to Christianity.

For 6 years, they lived in Manila and attended worship services in Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry.

But in 2000, after the beloved Pastor Wilde Almeda and the 12 prayer warriors went to the camp of Abu Sayyaf in Talipao, Jolo, Sulu and came down safe and unharmed, he realized there was nothing to fear after all. His faith was strengthened all the more and he declared that there is a God who saves and delivers! That the God of Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry is the one true living God!

He traveled back home to Zamboanga and looked for his uncles whom he greatly feared. He found one of them, a sultan, who had been bedridden for 7 years. Bro. Rene told him, “Uncle, this is your opportunity to know that the God of the Christians and Muslims is one!” And he proceeded to testify that JMCIM brethren fast for 30 days or more and live, unlike their practice of fasting. They make night day and day night. They fast during the day time but eat during the night.

His uncle replied, “Son, I receive your Jesus. Baptize me now in His name!” After baptism, his uncle was able to stand up and walk. He shouted, “It is true that Jesus is the only Almighty God!” They organized a Bible Study inside the Muslim community. All fears were vanished because they had proven that God loves all people including the Muslims.

One day, some Muslim children bathed in the river. When they returned, one was missing. An hour had passed before they found the child dead. He had drowned in the river. One of Bro. Rene’s uncles who was a hadji looked for Bro. Rene’s mother and the JMCIM brethren. He told Bro. Rene’s mother, “Your preacher has been testifying that in Jesus Miracle Crusade, the dead are raised. Prove to me now whether this is true!”

Bro. Rene’s mother hurried to the room in fear and begged God in prayer. She said, “Lord Jesus, show to them that You are God who is almighty and all-powerful!” She then lifted the dead child and cried out, “Lord Jesus, prove to them all that You are the God of Christians and Muslims! Please, make this child live!” The child gulped the breath of life and he lived in Jesus’ name!

Later on, one of his uncles who was a commander of MILF and had 17 wives threatened him, “If you don’t stop what you’re doing and if you bring your other uncles to that Church, I will kill you!”

One of his uncles who was a sultan in one of the Muslim towns came to him. He was already blind. He said to Bro. Rene, “Son, I heard that you have become a member of Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry. I have also heard how good your God is.” And he told Bro. Rene of how God had miraculously delivered the beloved pastor and the 12 prayer warriors who only carried Bibles from the hands of the Abu Sayyaf. He believed that the beloved pastor Wilde Almeda is a true prophet of God. This uncle, too, received the Lord Jesus and was baptized in water in His name. When he came out of the water, he could see!

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

All glory, honor, praise, and thanksgiving belong to our Lord God Almighty – our dearest Jesus!

MMTC Bus Tragedy: The Amazing Testimony of Sister Rose De Guzman

(The entirety of this testimony was taken from my book Quiet Strength: And Learning from Women of the Bible Who Had It which was published in 2014. Mommy Rose’s amazing testimony is one of the few featured testimonies in the book. Mommy Rose went to be with the Lord a few months ago in a full old age. Hers was a blessed life and her testimony, God’s great miracle in her life, will live forever in our hearts).

Sis. Rose de Guzman

At 73, Sister Rose, or Mommy Rose as she is fondly called in Church, still possesses vibrant vitality and health more than other women her age or even younger ones. When she testifies in the pulpit, she is straightforward and her voice carries an underlying power which can only come from a life that has experienced God’s miracles first-hand.

In 1978, when life was generally hard and Sister Rose had to help her husband to provide for their family of eight, it would also be the time that she would suffer from anemia. A neighbor who was very concerned with her took pity of her situation and lent her money so she could see a doctor at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in Novaliches, Quezon City. The doctor who checked up on her gave her prescriptions for her healing and advised her also to undergo blood transfusion every month. Sis. Rose could not afford to buy the costly medicines let alone a bag of blood for transfusion. Meanwhile, she was growing weaker and paler each day.

But in the same year, she attended a spiritual and healing crusade of the JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE MINISTRY held at Plaza Novaliches in Quezon City. Through the prayers of Beloved and Hon. Evangelist Wilde Almeda, she was healed instantly. The following day, to prove to her doctor that she was healed in the name of Jesus, she went back to the hospital and showed herself to the doctor. After some tests, the doctor was amazed to find that she was, indeed, cured from her anemia! She noticed Sis. Rose’s cheerful demeanor and asked if she had been taking the medicines she had prescribed, to which sis. Rose readily answered, “Doc, I can hardly buy food, how much more those costly medicines?”

She proceeded to testify to the doctor that she attended the crusade of Jesus Miracle Crusade Ministry wherein she was prayed over by the beloved pastor, and thus, she received healing. “That’s marvelous!” Her doctor exclaimed in awe.

Sister Rose and her brood continued to serve the Lord faithfully in Jesus Miracle Crusade Ministry. Her husband refused to be converted though. Every time they attended worship service, he stayed at home. Sis. Rose and her children traveled from Novaliches to Urduja Village in Caloocan City which was quite a long distance. Since the Sunday service was a whole-day affair, her husband wondered where they ate every time they went to church. They did not pack lunch, neither did they have the money for it, so he asked what they were eating the whole day. Sis. Rose’s youngest daughter, 5-year old Wela, answered, “Tatay, the food there is really delicious! We eat the Word of God and we are filled!”

Shocked, Sis. Rose and her teenage daughter Marissa glanced at each other. “Nanay, how did Wela know such a thing?” Marissa asked her mother quietly.

“Her answer came from the Lord,” Sis. Rose answered.

Sis. Rose and her children attended church in Jesus Miracle Crusade Ministry without her husband. And so it went this way for four years.

On April 22, 1982, a day no one in the family would ever forget, a great miracle happened. Sis. Rose was selling mango at the side of the road near their house along Quirino Highway. Her son, 9-year old Timoteo, was with her assisting her. That side of the busy highway where buses ply was a row of fruit vendors.

A Metro Manila Transit bus was approaching at high speed. When a car in front suddenly braked to a stop, the bus driver tried to avoid crashing onto it, but it was too late. The impact of the crash and the momentum of the bus sent it flying over the side of the road, ramming through the vendors’ shanties until it finally stopped on top of Sis. Rose’s stall, pinning her, her son, and a dog underneath. But before the bus even landed on top of them, Sis. Rose managed to shout, “Halleujah! Praise the Lord! Lord, save us!”

The bus instantly killed one of the vendors in its wake. Two sisters who were buying mangoes were rushed to the hospital but both perished the next morning.

Meanwhile, pinned down by a pile of wood from their wrecked stall and the bus itself, Sis. Rose and her son saw the dog beside them smashed and dead. But Sis. Rose and her son were both alive and unharmed! They were both amazed as to how on earth could they have survived such a tragedy! They knew without doubt that it was God’s hand which delivered them – a miracle of all miracles!

Timoteo was able to pull himself out from underneath the wreckage and bus with nary a scratch, shouting gleefully, “PRAISE THE LORD! PRAISE THE LORD!” Later on, Sis. Rose was rescued and pulled out, also uninjured.

Sis. Rose’s beloved husband, Bro. Timoteo Sr., witnessed the whole mishap. When he saw his dear wife and son disappear beneath the bus, he knew for certain they would both be dead. But he couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw them come out, alive without a scratch.

Such a miracle of this magnitude merits our remembrance of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and the fiery furnace!

Because of this, Bro. Timoteo Sr. gladly surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus Christ, and together with his family, served Him faithfully in Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry to this day.

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

All the glory, honor, praise, and thanksgiving belong to our Lord God Almighty!

Healed of Lung Cancer: The Testimony of Bro. Ricardo Caindoy

1992. Bro. Ricardo was told by the doctors in the hospital that he had only 3 months to live. He had advanced lung and intestinal cancer which had also affected his heart. He and his wife were told to go home for there was nothing more that could be done. Staying longer in the hospital would incur more expenses which they could hardly afford. Bro. Ricardo’s back felt like it was crushed due to the ravages of the disease. His spirit, too, was quashed of all hope.

Bro. Ricardo Caindoy

Bro. Ricardo Caindoy testifying in the pulpit at Amoranto Stadium.

At home, Bro. Ricardo waited for death. Emaciated and weak, he never left his bed while his wife did her best to earn a living. Only skin and bones were what was left of his frame. When he crossed his legs, they stayed tangled that way. Even an ant or a fly that ventured into his eyes or face, he didn’t even notice nor had the strength to swat. His 2-year old son was his companion all day.

One day, this toddler boy prayed beside him. Lisping, he said, “Papa Jesus, please help my Daddy. Please have pity on him.” After he prayed, he asked his Daddy to turn on the TV. He wanted to watch the noontime show. But when Bro. Ricardo opened the TV, it was the program of Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry that greeted him. The beloved Hon. Pastor, Evangelist Wilde E. Almeda was preaching. He was inviting all the sick – sick of cancer, leukaemia, diabetes, leprosy, and all other sicknesses and diseases – to come to the worship services of the Jesus Miracle Crusade and receive healing from the Lord Jesus.

During the mass healing on TV, Bro. Ricardo joined in the prayers of the beloved pastor and cast out the demons of cancer from his body. Instantly, he felt great relief, so much so that he worked up a huge appetite to eat. His wife served him cold rice and instant noodles. It was all they had. They were buried in debts and even relatives couldn’t help. He ate it all then closed his eyes and rested. His wife was so worried she looked closely if he was still breathing. She cried in grief while Bro. Ricardo fell sound asleep. When he awoke, he gained much strength and felt refreshed.

Bro. Ricardo and his wife traveled from Pililla, Rizal to Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City to  attend the worship service of JMCIM. Their neighbors who saw them were worried that he might not able to endure the journey. But his hope for healing couldn’t be quenched.

When they arrived in the worship service, Bro. Ricardo realized that everything was orchestrated by God. Before he set foot on Amoranto, he lived a depraved life. He committed crimes and often hid from authorities. He was a cruel man. He testifies that one time while he was in hiding, he dreamed of women with long hairs singing in a choir in heaven. When he awoke, he was wondering why those women were so full of joy.

As he entered the gates of Amoranto, his whole body began to tremble and he was crying unabashedly. He already felt the mighty power of the Holy Spirit. When he saw the Jesus Finest Generation Choir, he recognized them as the ones he saw in his dream and all of a sudden, he was gripped by a strong faith, so powerful that he knew without a doubt he was going to get well!

That same night, Bro. Ricardo and his wife received the Lord Jesus Christ and were baptized in water in His name. From that most blessed day, January 3, 1993, to this day, Bro. Ricardo bears the complete healing the Lord had given him. His life was also transformed. He serves the Lord faithfully with his whole family and through the years, he has continued to witness miracles in his life, big and small, and testifies of them wherever he goes.

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

All the glory, honor, praise, and thanksgiving belong to our Lord God Almighty!

Miraculous Healing from Gallstones

Bro. Rommel Domantay testifying in the pulpit, December, 2013, Amoranto Stadium, Quezon City, Phils.

Bro. Rommel Domantay testifying in the pulpit, December, 2013, Amoranto Stadium, Quezon City, Phils.

Bro. Rommel Domantay was saved years ago through the healing and salvation of her beloved mother who was suffering from kidney disease. Their family had spent a lot on numerous hospitalizations and medications for his mother hoping she would be cured. But they were disappointed; they did not receive the healing that they were looking for.

One day, a sounding team for a spiritual and healing crusade by the JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY passed by their place in Pangasinan. They were invited to the crusade and Bro. Rommel’s mother was more than eager to go. As soon as his mother entered the gate to the crusade, she felt like she was doused all over with very cold water. They told her it was the presence of the Holy Spirit welcoming her. During that crusade, Bro. Rommel’s ailing mother received healing instantly and miraculously in the name of Jesus!

Then two years ago, Bro. Rommel himself fell ill. He was diagnosed to have gallbladder stones. He lost his appetite and began to lose weight. When he had gallbladder attack, he writhed in pain and was unable to eat or drink. Three hospitals and three specialists that he went to pronounced the same finding and opinion: Bro. Rommel needed an immediate surgery. He had three large gallstones and they had scattered in his gallbladder. Bro. Rommel was desperate but he held on to his faith that the Lord Jesus Christ would heal him, just as he had witnessed her beloved mother miraculously healed.

He went to the fasting house to offer prayer with fasting. While there, he was counselled by a preacher to extend his fasting to 10 days. By the grace of God, Bro. Rommel submitted himself to 10-day fasting, and at the end of it, he received the healing he desperately sought for. His gallstones dissolved and disappeared miraculously without surgery or medication.

“However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” (Mat. 17:21)

The power of prayer with fasting has not waned through the ages. Even in this ultra-modern world, when a Christ believer and follower in JMCIM has a strong faith to be healed in Jesus’ name and through the prayers of the beloved Hon. Pastor Wilde Almeda – he or she will receive the healing he or she seeks for!

Halleluiah! To God be all the glory!

MV St. Thomas Aquinas Sea Tragedy: The Amazing Testimony of Survivor Sis. Elizabeth Martines

Sis. Elizabeth Martines testifying in Pampanga Fasting House chapel, Oct. 2013.

Sis. Elizabeth Martines testifying in Pampanga Fasting House chapel, Oct. 2013.

I begin to write this amazing testimony of a sister in Christ trying to choke back tears. Sis. Elizabeth Martines has traveled from Cebu to share her blessed testimony during the Friday overnight prayer meeting at the Central Church in Amoranto last week (Oct. 3).

On the night of August 16, 2013, Sis. Elizabeth was on board the MV St. Thomas Aquinas which was about to dock at the Cebu City port. At around 8 o’clock in the evening, Sis. Elizabeth looked out to sea and noticed how tranquil it was. The water was clear and she could feel her eager anticipation as in just a few minutes they would be docking. The passengers began the bustle of preparing their luggage, stuffing their belongings in bags and gathering them at their feet.

Suddenly, they heard a loud banging noise, like an explosion. At first, Sis. Elizabeth thought it was the ship hitting ground. But then she saw another ship, Sulpicio Express Cargo, in front of them. That was when she realized they just had a collision with another ship! Immediately, power went out and everything was dark. Their ship slowly tilted on its side and in just a few minutes, began to sink. The passengers began to scream in fear and ran everywhere in total panic. The captain announced to abandon ship and the crew distributed life vests in haste.

When, finally, Sis. Elizabeth found someone to help her get a life vest, the first two cabinets were already empty. On the third and last cabinet, she found a small one for kids. In desperation, she grabbed it and put it on. To her surprise, the kid life vest fitted her! When she was finally ready to go (to where, she didn’t know), all the other passengers seemed to have gone elsewhere, for the place she found herself in, there were no passengers running and there was some kind of light. She held onto an iron bar to steady herself.

She saw as the passengers plunged to the dark waters in extreme panic. Some lost limbs in the process. But Sis. Elizabeth continued to hold fast onto the iron bar of the ship. When the ship finally sank to the bottom of the sea, she went with it. At the depths, she cried out, “Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! My dearest Jesus, forgive me! Please save me! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!” Over and over she cried out to the Lord. She had drunk a lot of sea water but to her, it didn’t taste salty at all! Her neck and head ached from shouting to God for help and deliverance.

She saw lots of fish beneath the sea and to her great surprise, she could breathe easily! For about 30 minutes she was at the bottom of the sea. She believed the fishes were deafened by her loud praising and praying that they gathered at her feet and lifted her up to the surface. Another miracle! I think about Jonah as I write this most blessed testimony.

When she reached the surface, she just floated aimlessly not knowing what to do. She was covered all over by grease from the oil spill. She also drank oil-contaminated water and this made her weak. She saw lifeless bodies blackened by grease floating around her. It was still after a few hours that they were finally rescued.

Sis. Elizabeth didn’t sustain any wounds or bruises from the tragedy. The Lord Jesus Christ delivered her safe and sound.

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you…

For I am the Lord your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;…

Since you were precious in My sight,
You have been honored,
And I have loved you. (Is. 43:1-4, emphasis mine)

Hallelujah! To God be the glory!

Hannah’s Miracle

Hannah during Pink Toes Piano Recital pictorial, Summer 2013.

Hannah during Pink Toes Piano Recital pictorial, Summer 2013.

She has been singing in JMCIM Children's Choir since she was 7 or 8 years old - glory to God!

She has been singing in JMCIM Children’s Choir since she was 7 or 8 years old – glory to God!

It was 2006, the year when I received partial healing from the Lord and I was able to travel to nearby provinces mostly to attend our Church’s crusades with my family. One Wednesday before noon, I received a text message from a sister in Christ who was then a full-time worker in one of the outreach stations of our Church in a faraway province. She requested me to call her. Right away, I was alarmed. I knew it was important. Urgent. She was one who saw dreams and visions living a life of regular prayer and fasting.

I called and she gently but clearly told me about her dream. She dreamed a bad dream that pointed to our then 5-year-old Hannah. She interpreted the dream that we might lose our Hannah, but said that there was something we could do to cast out the fulfilment of the bad dream. She counselled that my beloved husband Felix must offer prayer and fasting for at least 5 days. My knees instantly turned to jelly. But my husband and I prayed incessantly.

The following day, Thursday, my husband didn’t waste time to go to the Fasting House in Pampanga to offer prayer and fasting.

Friday, while he was still in the fasting house, Hannah, my then caregiver Maricris, Jho (Hannah’s nanny),  and I followed him there, our company driver driving us. We stayed in a nearby hotel because we were not on fast, but we went to the chapel of the fasting house to join in the praise and worship morning and evening and attend the Friday overnight service. We stayed in Pampanga until after Sunday service.

We left after that, leaving my husband behind because he wasn’t finished yet with his fasting.

Monday afternoon, Hannah developed a slight fever and colds. After dinner, her fever went up. Up into the night, her fever stayed. Around 10 at night, she started to hallucinate. She would panic and clutch at me in utter fear. She saw demons in the room, on the bed, everywhere. Her face was contorted with horror. In all my adult life, it was my first time to witness a little child gripped with so much fear. She would cry out, “They are here again! They are so many! Their teeth are very long and sharp. They are scary monsters! They are going to eat me! Help me, Mom! They say they will eat me! They are on the bed! They are all crawling!” And on it went.

She was red like a crab cooking  because of her burning fever and at times, perspiration drenched her hair. We (Maricris, Jho, and me) praised and prayed non-stop. Hannah would then collapse on the bed and have a fitful sleep, but after a while, she would wake up with the scary hallucinations again. I would straddle her and Bible in my hand, I would wave it while casting out the demons with all my might in the powerful name of Jesus.

A thought flashed in my mind. If we weren’t born-again Christians yet, serving the Lord in JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY, and I was well enough to drive, I would have bundled her up in a blanket and brought her to the nearest hospital. But my thoughts and desires then were not toward the hospital but toward the only Savior and Healer, the Lord Jesus Christ. Many people, including Christians from other sects, would persecute me, us, for our decision to completely trust in God. It is our faith.

My husband wasn’t with us, he was in the Fasting House offering up prayer and fasting, and that was the best place he could be at that hour. I did not even inform him.

After on-and-off wrestling with the demons through praising, praying, and casting out, Jho said, “Ate, we can’t do this on our own. Let’s call for prayer warriors from the Pastoral House.” It was late, but the Pastoral House was open 24/7. I called and requested for workers to come. My voice was urgent.

After less than an hour, two workers arrived with a guitar. They immediately knelt beside the bed, prayed, then began praising and worshiping, entreating God for His mercy. We sang along with them. After over half an hour, they closed with another prayer, then they laid their hands on my daughter who was then sound asleep, very hot and cheeks flushed, casting out the demons of sickness.

I requested the workers to stay for the night for we were alone. They hesitated for a while but I was insistent. They slept in the guest room. I then lay beside Hannah and succumbed to much-needed sleep.

Hannah and I almost simultaneously woke up the next morning. I was awakened by the sound of praise and worship and guitar playing. It sounded like it was far away but it drifted to me and I slowly opened my eyes. Hannah opened her eyes, too. Her normal color had returned. She smiled at me. I touched her forehead, her fever was gone. I checked the time. I couldn’t believe it was near noon! My daughter and I slept so soundly and she was completely healed!

“Mom, I’m thirsty,” Hannah said. I told her to wait as I tell someone to bring her water. But she bounded out of bed, looked for her slippers, and told me, “I’ll go to the kitchen myself, Mom.”

“Are you sure?” I asked, concern in my voice.

“Yes, Mom, I’m fine,” she answered me reassuringly and then left the room. She walked out as if nothing happened the night before!

When my husband arrived from the Fasting House in Pampanga, he didn’t have a clue as to what happened for he found us smiling happily. And grateful.

ALL THE GLORY, HONOR, PRAISE, AND THANKSGIVING BELONG TO THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS – OUR DEAREST LORD JESUS CHRIST!

Through the Flood: The Testimony of Bro. Edu Cortez

Bro. Edu Cortez testifying at the Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City, May 2013.

Bro. Edu Cortez testifying at the Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City, May 2013.

I am delighted to share with you the testimony of a brother in Christ who is also a world-class wedding photographer. Glory to God! Bro. Edu, though he is fast becoming an acclaimed photographer, remains to be humble. He speaks softly when he testifies in the pulpit but one could sense his deep reverence to his Lord and Savior.

In 2009, when Typhoon “Ondoy” inundated much of the country, especially Metro Manila, Bro. Edu was faced with a huge problem: not only was he concerned with the safety of their rented apartment-cum-studio/office, but he also had a very important wedding coverage in Tagaytay. At past midnight after the typhoon just stopped ravaging the country with its torrent leaving Metro Manila massively submerged, Bro. Edu looked out of their apartment to inspect the situation. It was that morning that he needed to be in Tagaytay to photograph a wedding.

But he couldn’t see the street. Everywhere was water, and it was high. (Bro. Edu and us live in the same area. Our village was deluged up to over 6 feet high, first time ever. In our house, which is elevated from the street, the water in the first floor reached up to my husband’s chest. The flood was that great). But Bro. Edu’s photography business was just starting in those days. It was hard to get clients and if one ruins one’s name just because of a no-show, what will happen to him and his fledgling business? No, he couldn’t afford to lose this one.

Bro. Edu found himself in an almost impossible situation. It was a no-no not to cover the wedding. No, it just wasn’t possible. Just think, if it were your wedding and you have spent a huge amount of money for the preparation just to make it memorable, but then there is no one to take the photos – it is unimaginable! But how could he ford the rushing floodwater? His situation was desperate.

But he didn’t lose faith in the God he, his wife, and his beloved mother diligently serve in JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY. Quickly, he and his wife disassembled the cameras and other photography paraphernalia, and piece-by-piece, they carefully wrapped each one in plastic making sure it was as secure as possible. His beloved wife, Sis. Mherl, was silently crying as they packed the equipment. They put them all in a backpack including Bro. Edu”s shoes which were also wrapped. They had made sure that water would not leak into the gadgets but, who could be so sure? She was also worried about her beloved husband braving the fierce flood.

At 1:00AM, Bro. Edu went out into the darkness and into the murky floodwaters. He did not expect it was that deep! He was wearing a shirt and a pair of pants that he was willing to throw away when he had the chance to change. First, he was going to his uncle’s house along Katipunan Ave. in Quezon City. There, he would be lent a car to bring him to Tagaytay.

Bro. Edu had to grapple for support as he forded the floodwaters. It was up to his shoulders. He would walk the entire distance from their place along Marcos Highway near Marikina to Katipunan Ave. Brothers and sisters, that.is.far. At one point, he followed a barbed wire and held on to it. Debris, small and great, made it very difficult to forge on without hurting himself.

In front of Sta. Lucia East Grandmall, he was faced with the decision whether to walk at the side of the road or at the center. He chose to walk at the center thinking there might be manholes at the side. But he was wrong. Before he knew it, he fell into an open manhole and he was quickly sinking! He cried to God for help and suddenly, a strong force lifted him up from the hole and plunged him onto the ground. But he had lost his balance and he was being taken by the fierce current. But just as he thought he was helpless, he got entangled with a rope, and miraculously, this rope pulled him in the other direction and he came through safely.

To make the story short, he arrived in Tagaytay at 7:00 in the morning, just in time for the wedding he needed to cover – weary but grateful that God saved him from the gruesome flood. His clients were actually surprised to see him since they knew how great the flood was.

After the wedding, his clients had time to watch news on TV and they saw the great danger Bro. Edu went through just to do his work he was hired for. They saw and they were shocked. How could Bro. Edu have survived that fierce flood? Why did he care so much for their wedding and endangering his own life in the process? Because of this, the couple found deep gratitude to Bro. Edu. They sent him a considerable amount of money to his bank account as a token of their gratitude. And not only that, they also created a website featuring Bro. Edu’s photography, informing all their friends and associates, that here is a very talented photographer and one who doesn’t let down.

Hallelujah! To God be all the glory!

Miracle in the Life of Bro. Roden Roy

IMG_0463

Sister Tacing Roy testifying in the pulpit during Friday overnight worship service, April 2013 at the Amoranto Stadium.

Sis. Tacing Roy, who is fondly called by those who are close to her “Nanay Tacing” (Mommy Tacing), is the beloved mother of Bro. Roden Roy. She had seen the great healing miracle of the Lord in her life when, dying and her funeral all prepared because of an illness in her inner ear that specialists couldn’t cure, she was raised up by the Lord Jesus Christ when she was brought to the worship service of JESUS MIRACLE CRUSADE INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY. She had no hope then being tortured by the pain and discomfort her disease brought. The doctors here and in Canada (when she travelled there with her husband seeking healing) had given up on her. Her inner ear was rotting and she was also a victim of witchcraft which made her days and nights pure torment.

But she was miraculously healed by the Lord and freed from the evil works of witchcraft. She gained a kind of faith so strong that nothing and no one could deter her no matter the circumstance.

That’s what happened in late 90s when her beloved son Roden’s appendix ruptured. The doctor was shocked by her decision to bring home her very sick son and just pray for his miraculous healing at home. Bro. Roden needed an emergency surgery to close up his ruptured appendix but his mother chose to fully trust in God’s miracle – without surgery. And so, at home, Nanay Tacing prayed agonizingly and fasted for the healing of her son. Bro. Roden miraculously recovered and was well for a year.

But in 1997, a year after his appendix was ruptured, his stomach bulged until it looked like he was 8 months pregnant. This time, he was brought to the hospital to be checked. He was immediately brought to the OR for an emergency surgery to which Nanay Tacing was then powerless to stop. The doctors said it might take 3 hours. But 3 hours turned to 5 and 5 turned to 7. Nanay Tacing resisted the urge to worry and lose faith. She was on her knees begging for God to let her son live all the time he was in the operating room.

The procedure ended at 2:30 in the morning. The doctors though very tired were so thrilled to talk about the miracle they just witnessed. They said that it was just not possible that a person would live after an untreated ruptured appendix. They were so shocked to see Bro. Roden’s condition: a big clump of rotten flesh, puss, and blood had infected his stomach and intestines. They needed to bring out his intestines and clean them that’s why it took them 7 hours!

They considered it a great miracle that a person lived in that state for a year calling Bro. Roden a miracle boy. Doctors from other hospitals came to St. Luke’s Medical Center to interview him and have their pictures taken with him. They said it was the first time in all of  the medical history of the country for such a thing to happen! Nanay Tacing proudly confessed her miracle-working God and they praised Him for what He’s done.

Their bills ballooned to around P200,000 but Nanay Tacing prayed and begged God to help them since they didn’t have that amount of money. No, not even near it. In the end, they only paid over a thousand pesos. Another miracle.

And through all this, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ was exalted and glorified.

But the doctors warned Bro. Roden that it was possible that his intestines will clump up again in the future, but Nanay Tacing trusted in God that that won’t happen. But in mid-April 2013, Bro. Roden’s stomach swelled again and he was brought to the same hospital. He was treated and the miracle was, while he recuperated from this second surgery, he met the families of two patients: one was a stage 4 leukaemia, a mother; the other one was stage 4 breast cancer.

After Friday overnight worship service, Nanay Tacing went straight to the hospital and found Bro. Roden her son waiting up for her. He told her about the two desperate patients that he had talked to. Without any hesitation and though Nanay Tacing was very sleepy from the all-night service, she rushed to the rooms of the patients accompanied by her son. There, she shared the Gospel and her testimonies. She made them receive the Lord Jesus Christ and prayed over them and assured them that they could receive God’s miraculous healing, too, when they surrender their lives to Him. The families promised to attend JMCIM worship service once they are out of the hospital.

So, that was what the divine purpose of the presence of Nanay Tacing and her beloved son Roden in St. Luke’s Medical Center this second time. And when it was time to pay their bills which reached P80,000, Nanay Tacing prayed again. She only had P1000 in her wallet. And the Lord performed a miracle on her behalf once again. The hospital, St. Luke’s Medical Center, was forced to bill them for only P1000.

Hallelujah! To God be all the glory!
